Genetics of Vasculopathy
Prof. Duk–Kyung Kim is a Professor of Medicine in Division of Cardiology, Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. He is currently the President of Korean Society of Lipidology and Atherosclerosis. He graduated from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea and finished his residency and clinical fellow in Cardiology department in the same institute. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Cardiology division in Falk Cardiovascular Research Center, Stanford University School of Medicine, USA from 1991 to 1993. He served as the staff of division of cardiology in Samsung Medical Center since 1994. He published numerous papers in the field of vasculopathy, especially in relation with Marfan syndrome and Takayasu arteritis. In this Presidential lecture, he will tell us about his lifelong researches on genetics and hereditary vasculopathies.
